This version includes support for iOS 9.
This app lets you quickly access bird sightings from around the world, via the database maintained by eBird.org.
Start your search for bird sightings at your current location, at a point you select from the map, or at one or more known birding hotspots nearby.
Set up your search for all species seen, just the rarities, or a particular species of interest.
Easy-to-use sliders let you select how wide an area to search, and how many days of sighting data to scan.
The results view enables you to instantly group the sightings you find by date, location, or species. View sightings on the map individually or all together. One tap lets you view the fine details of the sighting, or to open the Wikipedia entry for the species.
All mapped results allow one-tap access to driving directions via the Apple Maps app.
You can save your favorite searches for easy access, and you can share sighting data via email, social media, or iCloud sharing.
Proceeds from this app support eBird.org and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
